Original acrylic painting on wood panel. Inspired by the Mid Modern Century style this design is both both simple and sophisticated. Striking metallic gold forms against an earth toned background filled with warm browns. 

This is hand painted with acrylic paint and gilded with gold leaf. The technique of gilding was used; a delicate and tedious process with many steps that gives the most vibrant metallic results. 

Edges are stained wood.

Finished with a satin varnish.
