Metallic gold leave make this design is both both simple and elegant. A variegated earth toned background filled with warm browns and yellows. 

This is hand painted with acrylic paint and gilded with gold leaf. The technique of gilding was used; a delicate and tedious process with many steps that gives the most vibrant metallic results. 

Edges are stained wood.

Finished with a satin varnish.
