Gilded Honeycomb Original Painting

Metallic gold honeycombs with busy bees against a warm variegated background filled with warm creams, gold, and yellows. 

This is hand painted with acrylic paint and gilded with gold leaf. The technique of gilding was used; a delicate and tedious process with many steps that gives the most vibrant metallic results. 

Edges are stained wood.

Finished with a satin varnish.
